Trojans and Saints battle to scoreless draw

Box Score NOTRE DAME, Ind. - In his first career start Sophomore Eddie Windsor made a name for himself, stopping all seven shots faced and earning his first career shutout to give the Trojans a much needed CCAC point in Wednesday's 0-0 2OT draw with Holy Cross.

It was a battle from the opening kick for these two sides and it was the Saints who held the shot advantage in the opening half, peppering seven shots but Windsor was up to the task to keep things scoreless.

The second half saw much of the same, and while the Trojans had their opportunities to take the lead, the Saints managed to  through 90 minutes. Junior Julian Raczka led the Trojans with two shots and one on goal after coming off the bench midway through the opening half.

In the two overtime periods the Trojans needed Windsor to come up big and he did, making multiple saves down the stretch in the second OT to keep the game a scoreless draw.

Trinity International is back in action this weekend when the Cardinal Stritch Wolves come to town for a 2:30 kickoff on Schartner Field.
