BETTENDORF, IOWA. — The Trinity International Trojans completed their fifth meet at the CCAC Championships hosted by Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore
Chase Manke led the Trojan team with a finishing time of 27:40, placing 39th. Good enough for an overall personal best performance which qualifies him to compete in the NCCAA national meet in Point Lookout, Missouri on November 10th. The second Trojan was Sophomore
Justin Chu with a finishing time of 28:37, placing 48th. Justin conquered another overall personal record for the Trojans. Following shortly behind was Freshman
Nathaniel Johnson with a finishing time of 29:23, placing 60th. He also put forward an overall best performance. The fourth Trojan was Sophomore
Jared Backstrom with a finishing time of 31:46. Closing the Trojan team was Senior
Joshua Drury, closing an overall personal best time of 35:33. This was his final collegiate performance and TIU cross country team is grateful for his dedication and leadership throughout the years.
Collectively as a team they finished 7th out of 13th teams in their final meet of 2018.
