Saturday, October 10 | 12:00 p.m.
Bavarian Soccer Complex | Glendale, Wisc.

Quick Notes
 • Trinity International looks for a fifth straight match with at least a point, as the Trojans host the Judson Eagles for a mid-week CCAC matchup, Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. This weekend, TIU will head north to face Cardinal Stritch on Saturday, October 10.
 • Wednesday's match will be streamed live online, at TIUTrojans.com.
 • The Trojans are unbeaten in their last four matches, their longest such streak this season, which includes three conference matches in which they have come away with seven points.
 • The Trinity offense ranks 7th in the CCAC with 1.78 goals scored per game, and have averaged 3.75 goals over the last four matches, including a pair of five-goal outbursts against St. Xavier and Purdue-Calumet.
 • Defensively, the Trojans hold a 0.95 goals against average to lead the CCAC
 • Trinity is coming off three straight seasons with 13 or more wins, and two consecutive appearances in the NAIA Women's Soccer Championship.

Last Time Out
 • A first-half goal for Trinity International nearly stood up, but a late strike near the end of regulation led to a 1-1 draw on Homecoming Saturday between the Trojans and the visiting St. Francis Saints.
 • The Trojans outshot the Saints by a 14-9 margin throughout the match, but of the six shots on goal, came away with the single tally. Morgan Elzinga collected her team-leading fifth goal of the year in the 32nd minute to give Trinity the 1-0 edge.
 • With less than 15 minutes to play in regulation, St. Francis found the equalizer, off the foot of USF's Leslie Rueda. The Trojans took a pair of shots in the closing minutes, but Isabelle Danner's attempt was blocked, and Samantha Yastan missed wide.

In the Polls
 • The Trojans are currently unranked, but Trinity earned its highest ranking in eight years, coming in at No. 17 in the NAIA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll last month.
 • Trinity improved six spots from their No. 23 ranking in the final 2014 poll, and have earned the program's highest ranking since the 2007 preseason poll, when the Trojans were selected No. 14. That season, TIU finished with an 11-8-2 overall record, reaching the NCCAA North Central Regional Final.
 • TIU's appearance in the preseason poll also marks the fourth straight season that the Trojans have been nationally ranked at some point during the year.
 • TIU has been ranked in the Preseason Poll eight times in program history, since the poll began in 1999. (2000-2002, 2007, 2012-15)

Last Meeting with JU & CSU
 • Junior Samantha Yasatan found the back of the net for the sixth consecutive game, earning her team a point in the opening match of the CCAC season, as the No. 25 Trojans earned a 1-1 draw on the road at Judson on Sept. 23.
• The Eagles had taken a one-goal lead early in the second half, before Yasatan picked up her ninth goal of the season to tie the match in the 78th minute.
 • Against Cardinal Stritch, Morgan Elzinga provided the only offense for Trinity International, but it proved to be enough as the Trojans advanced in the 2014 CCAC Tournament Quarterfinal with a 1-0 win over Cardinal Stritch on Nov. 8.

Scouting the Opponents
Judson

 • The Eagles have just three wins on the year, but are coming off a 1-0 home victory over St. Xavier last weekend. Judson will be looking for their first victory away from home when they come to Deerfield.
 • The Judson attack ranks 12th in the CCAC, averaging 0.80 goals per match. Defensively, the Eagles have the 10th-best goals against average in the league, at 2.27.
 • Margaret Rivera is tied for 8th in the conference with a team-high five goals scored, including two game-winners. Senior midfielder Jamie Kats returns to the squad after being named to the All-CCAC First Team last season.
 • Goalkeeper Eloisa Borreguero averages 5.22 saves per match, good for 5th in the CCAC, while her .770 save percentage ranks 6th in the conference.
 • Trinity holds an 8-3-2 mark against Judson dating back to 2007.

Cardinal Stritch
 • The Wolves were 8-1 entering play last week, but a pair of losses at Olivet Nazarene and at home to Robert Morris have Stritch on a two-match slide.
 • Stritch averages 2.82 goals scored each match, the 4th-best offense in the CCAC. The CSU defense gives up 1.61 goals allowed, which ranks 8th in the conference.
• Jamie Karch and Nicole Hawley are both tied for the team lead, and 4th in the CCAC, with nine goals scored apiece. Three Wolves (Karch, Katie Golabowski, and Ivanna Chavez) have three assists each and are in a tie for 6th among conference leaders.
•  The Trojans have won eight of the last ten meetings with Cardinal Stritch, with their last loss coming in 2010. The two sides last met in the 2014 CCAC Tournament Quarterfinal, where TIU took a 1-0 victory.

Champions of Character
 • Last season, Trinity International earned the Karl Boeck Conference Champions of Character Award for the fourth consecutive year. The Trojans have gone six straight seasons without a single red card; in 2014, TIU was charged with two yellow cards over 20 matches, for the lowest per-match average in the CCAC.

Player Notes
 • Senior Morgan Elzinga is the team leader in shots, goals, and points at this point in the season. Elzinga ranks 8th in the CCAC with five goals on the year, and is 9th in the league with 12 total points.
 • Isabelle Danner sits in a tie for 6th among the conference assist leaders, with three this year.
 • Freshman McKenzie Chappell has started the last seven matches for the Trojans in goal, and has a 0.97 goals against average, with seven goals allowed. Chappell ranks 2nd in the CCAC, and 38th nationally in the NAIA in goals against average, and is 5th in the league with a .781 save percentage.
 • Senior defender Kelsey Gill has been on the field for all 850 minutes so far this season, the only Trojan to play every minute of the year so far.

Up Next
 • The Trojans will head to Roosevelt next week, for a Tuesday afternoon matchup beginning at 4:00 p.m. Next weekend, Trinity will host St. Ambrose, currently perfect in conference play at 4-0 in the CCAC, for a 12:00 p.m. match at Schartner Field on Saturday, October 17.
