Last Time Out
 • The Trojans knocked out the 8th-seeded Judson Eagles with a 7-1 win in the CCAC Semifinals, Tuesday afternoon at Schartner Field.
 • Four Trojans combined for seven goals in the win, led by freshman Jillian Kolster, who recorded her first career hat trick with goals in the 33rd, 47th, and 51st minutes. Samantha Yasatan increased her team-leading total this year, scoring twice to give the senior 14 goals on the season.

In the Polls
 • The Trojans are currently unranked, but Trinity earned its highest ranking in eight years, coming in at No. 17 in the NAIA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll last month.
 • Trinity improved six spots from their No. 23 ranking in the final 2014 poll, and have earned the program's highest ranking since the 2007 preseason poll, when the Trojans were selected No. 14. That season, TIU finished with an 11-8-2 overall record, reaching the NCCAA North Central Regional Final.
 • TIU's appearance in the preseason poll also marks the fourth straight season that the Trojans have been nationally ranked at some point during the year.
 • TIU has been ranked in the Preseason Poll eight times in program history, since the poll began in 1999. (2000-2002, 2007, 2012-15)
• Currently, the Trojans are ranked 8th in the NCCAA National Rankings, after not earning a vote two weeks ago.

Last Meeting with Olivet Nazarene
 • In the final regular season match of the season, Trinity International upset the top team in the CCAC, earning a 2-0 win over then-11th-ranked Olivet Nazarene at a soggy Schartner Field on Oct. 31.
• Trinity held possession for a majority of the match, outshooting the Tigers 17-7 on the day. Both sides held one another scoreless over the first 45 minutes, with the Trojans firing four shots on goal, all stopped by the ONU keeper.
 • In the 61st minute, TIU broke through, when Samantha Yasatan fired a shot that ricocheted off the crossbar. Marta Sobey collected the rebound and put it away for her first goal of the season, to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead.
• Twelve minutes later, Yasatan received a clearance from the Trojan defense, and charged nearly 70 yards with the ball, around multiple defenders and striking the ball past the keeper for a two-goal lead. Trinity's defense would close out the match without allowing another shot over the closing minutes, securing TIU's fourth straight win.

Scouting the Opponents
 • The Tigers have rolled through the CCAC Tournament to date, shutting out Trinity Christian and Robert Morris in the first two rounds.
 • Forward Betsy Hetrick leads the conference, and ranks 3rd nationally in the NAIA, with 29 goals on the year. Hetrick also ranks 3rd in the NAIA with 63 total points.
 • Liz Wahl is ONU's other offensive threat, with 18 goals scored, good for 3rd in the CCAC and 20th in the NAIA.

 • Trinity's win over ONU two weeks ago snapped a ten-match winless streak against the Tigers. Olivet holds a 10-2-2 mark against TIU since 2007.

Champions of Character
 • Last season, Trinity International earned the Karl Boeck Conference Champions of Character Award for the fourth consecutive year. The Trojans have gone six straight seasons without a single red card; in 2014, TIU was charged with two yellow cards over 20 matches, for the lowest per-match average in the CCAC.
 • This season, the Trojans have still not earned a single red card, and have just one yellow over 17 matches.

Player of the Week
 • Five times this year, Trojans have been selected as CCAC Offensive or Defensive Players of the Week.
 • On Tuesday, forward Samantha Yasatan was selected as both CCAC conference and NCCAA national player of the week.
 • Last week, TIU earned their first sweep of the weekly conference award, as Samantha Yasatan and McKenzie Chappell were both selected.
 • Sophmore defender Michelle Ortiz has twice been named CCAC Defensive Player of the Week this year (Sept. 29; Oct. 27).
 • Yasatan now has won the CCAC Offensive Player of the Week honor six times during her career, but Tuesday marked the first time in 2015 that she earned the award.
 • Chappell was also named the NCCAA National Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the first national honor for Trinity this season.

CoSIDA Honoree
 • Midfielder Gina Collesano became the second women's soccer player from Trinity to earn a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team last week.
 • A senior studying Biology/Pre-Med at TIU, Collesano was one of just three players from the CCAC to be selected.
 • Collesano is also a two-time CCAC All-Academic Team member, and last year was named an NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

Player Notes
 • After recording only three goals in the season's first ten matches, Samantha Yasatan has returned to form, scoring ten times in the last six matches. The senior has 14 goals this season, good for 6th on the CCAC leaderboard.
 • Senior Morgan Elzinga is the team leader in shots at this point in the season. Elzinga is tied for 7th in the CCAC with 12 goals on the year.
 • Elzinga also ranks 8th in the league with 29 total points, and has 1.79 points per game, the 6th-best average in the CCAC.
 • Freshman Jillian Kolster leads the Trojans with nine assists, and is tied for 2nd among conference leaders.
 • Freshman McKenzie Chappell has started the last 17 of 19 matches for the Trojans in goal, and has a 1.01 goals against average, with 17 goals allowed. Chappell ranks 4th in the CCAC, and 50th nationally in the NAIA in goals against average, and is 8th in the league with a .737 save percentage.

Up Next
 • If the Trojans can claim their second CCAC Tournament title in the last three years, they will wait to find out who they face in the NAIA Tournament Opening Round. An ONU win would mean the Trojans would host the NCCAA North Central Regional Final, between either Trinity Christian or Northwestern (Minn.).
