Box Score MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - In their opening playoff game of the postseason the #5 seeded TIU Women's Soccer team fell 1-0 to the #4 seeded Cardinal Stritch Wolves on Friday afternoon.
In a back and forth game all afternoon long the Trojans could not find their groove offensively, and were unable to find the back of the net. The first half saw neither side able to take the lead, as Sophomore GK
Rebecca Wells stood tall and made five saves in the opening 45 minutes.
Early in the second half it was Cardinal Stritch who gave the Wolves the lead, scoring just eight minutes into the second frame.
The Trojans had their opportunities down the stretch including a few chances on goal from
Rachel Conrady, but TIU couldn't find an equalizer.
The Trojans will now turn their attention to the NCCAA Regional Tournament which will take place in the coming weeks. Stay up to date at tiutrojans.com for tournament and schedule updates.
