Women's Soccer drops CCAC opener

Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill - The TIU Women's Soccer team jumped out to an early lead in their CCAC opener, but it was the Bee's who stormed back to score a goal in each half defeating the Trojans 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Three minutes is all it took Victoria Padal to give the Trojans the early lead after putting away her second goal of the season. Cynthia Delgado got the assist on the goal after playing a beautiful cross into the box to Padal who finished it off.

The Bee's came back to tie the match just before half time when Katie Reitz found the upper corner on a long shot from distance.

With the game tied after 45 minutes of play, it was a back and forth second half but once again it was St. Ambrose who was able to capitalize and take the lead. Allie Mitchell put away the second SAU goal of the afternoon directly off of a cross from the corner to score her first goal of the season.

Trinity International will be back in action this Saturday when they take on CCAC rival Judson University at 4 pm.
