Danner promoted to women's soccer assistant coach

BANNOCKBURN, Ill. --- The TIU women's soccer team has announced the hiring of Isabelle Danner as assistant coach. Danner replaces current assistant coach Danielle Moritz, who will transition to Trinity's sports information director role on November 29.

"Over the last three seasons, Isabelle has made indurable contributions to the program as a graduate assistant," said head coach Patrick Gilliam. "She has quickly developed into a very competent young coach with a tremendously bright future in the profession. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to continue to work alongside her with the Lady Trojan soccer program, and for the chance to watch her continue to grow."

Danner has been part of the Trojan women's soccer staff since 2019 as a graduate assistant, The Metamore, Illinois native played four seasons for TIU as a midfielder/forward from 2015 to 2018, scoring 15 goals and notching nine assists, including 12 goals during her sophomore season in 2016. A 2016 CCAC second team all-conference selection, Danner also earned NCCAA All-Region honors in 2016 and 2017, was a two-time NCCAA national player of the week recipient, two-time CCAC player of the week, and 2017 CCAC all-academic honoree.

Danner takes over the assistant coaching role following a 7-9-1 season for the Trojans in 2021, and 4-8-1 mark in conference play.
