CHICAGO, Ill. --- TIU women's soccer forward Abigail Olsson has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (CCAC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Olsson, a sophomore from Crystal Lake, Illinois, notched her first career multi-goal game with a hat trick performance against Saint Xavier in TIU's 5-3 win on September 11 in their home and conference opener. Abigail also helped Trinity offensively with two shot attempts in the Trojan's 3-1 win at Vanguard on Labor Day, the program's third win against a team ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA top 25 in the last three seasons.

Olsson's hat trick was the first time a Trojan scored three goals in a match since Lauren Henn in TIU's 2019 season opening win at Lincoln Christian, 14-0. This selection is the first in-season honor for Olsson, who was named a member of the CCAC's All-Academic Team in 2020. Olsson now leads all active Trinity players with eight career goals.

Olsson and the Trojans return to action this afternoon as they host the Redhawks of IU-Northwest at 4:00pm on Schartner Field in search of their fifth consecutive win. Fans can also watch the game LIVE on the Trojan Sports Network
